Funchal 500 Falmouth Tall Ships Regatta
10th-13th September 2008

During the event the Tall Ships will moored up in Falmouth Docks and visitors who want to view them can access the docks via a number of ferry services. The Tall Ships can be visited Wednesday 10th - Friday12th September between the hours of 1100hrs and 1930hrs (Weds) and 1000hrs and 1930hrs (Thurs & Fri). The Parade of Sail commences on Saturday 13th September with the Tall Ships leaving the docks at around midday. Visitors will not be permitted into the docks on race day but there will be a number of vessels you can board to view the start of the race.

The docks also have pedestrian access from Falmouth Town centre.

Tall Ships Events

Ferry cruise and Cornish seafood buffet

10 September 2008. 1800hrs.

The Museum's gastronomic seafood adventure returns. Treat your senses with a tour of Falmouth's coastline and admire the Tall Ships before returning to the stunning Waterside restaurant to choose from the sensational "see them, touch them, taste them" seafood buffet

The ferry leaves Custom House Quay at 6pm and will return at approx 7.30pm. Dinner will be served at the National Maritime Museum at 7.45pm.

Tall Ships Race Day

13 September 2008. 12 noon - early evening.

Sail with Enterprise Boats to watch the start of the Funchal 500 Tall Ships Race in Falmouth Bay.

Board the boats in Truro or Falmouth and view the Tall Ships preparing their sails for the start of the Funchal Tall Ships Race. Race gun goes off at approximately 1700 hrs.

Return to Falmouth Prince of Wales Pier late afternoon and Truro early evening.

Book now to avoid disappointment.
