Hire one of these self-drive motor, sailing or rowing boats, and spend a day discovering the coves and quiet beaches of this beautifully clear sea water estuary. A short trip away is Frenchman's Creek, made famous by the Daphne du Maurier novel, and the Porth Navas Duchy Oyster Farm which still produces some of Britain's finest native oysters. Newmans Cruises run classic wooden ferries out of Tolverne on the Philleigh side of the King Harry Ferry. The newly refurbished Queen of the Fal provides a regular service between Custom House Quay,Prince of Wales Peir, Trelissick Garden and Tolverne. This is an ideal way to travel to the National Maritime Museum from the Roseland Peninsula and Trelissick Garden from Flamouth and the Park & Float. Free parking is available at Tolverne . Smuggler's Cottage is also an ideal place to start your walk along the Oyster Way, where you can enjoy excellent home-cooked food whilst viewing an abundance of nautical memorabilia. The Cornish Belle and Queen of the Fal are also available for private hire in the evenings and on Sundays.
