Aquacab the Fal Estuary's fast, reliable and convenient water-taxi service is back by popular demand. Aquacab will pick up and drop off at the many quays, moorings, beaches, footpaths, waterside restaurants and hotels in and around Truro, Falmouth and St Mawes, and after an evening out at a riverside pub there are no worries about driving home! On-demand services will operate from May to October, 10am till late, with room for up to 12 passengers. Aquacab will also run three scheduled services a day during the summer between Mylor Yacht Harbour and Falmouth (Customs House Quay). Aquacab is run by Mylor Boat Hire and is crewed at all times by a fully qualified and experienced skipper. Please note: Tides, access and conditions may sometimes affect the service.

The Flushing ferry was established by Royal Charter in the days when Flushing was one of the leading players in local shipping. Flushing has kept its local fishing village feel and also has a charming restaurant on the quay and a couple of pubs worth a visit. Using the Flushing Ferry also allows walkers to use the coastal path to Mylor from where you can return on the Aqua Cab scheduled service.

The King Harry Ferry is an iconic part of Cornwall's history; started in 1888 this car ferry connects Truro/Feock with St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula and saves a 27 mile car journey through Truro and Tresillian.The ferry runs every 20 minutes from each side of the river and crosses King Harry passage which is on the pilgrims' way to St. Michaels Mount and named after the Lancastrian King Henry VI. One of only 5 remaining chain ferries in the country, King Harry Ferry is an iconic piece of Cornwall's heritage and transport infrastructure. The King Harry Ferry was recently voted one of the top ten ferry crossings in the World by the Independent on Sunday alongside the likes of the Statten Island Ferry in New York and the Star Ferry in Hong Kong. Newmans Cruises run classic wooden ferries out of Tolverne on the Philleigh side of the King Harry Ferry. The newly refurbished Queen of the Fal provides a regular service between Custom House Quay,Prince of Wales Peir, Trelissick Garden and Tolverne. This is an ideal way to travel to the National Maritime Museum from the Roseland Peninsula and Trelissick Garden from Flamouth and the Park & Float. Free parking is available at Tolverne . Smuggler's Cottage is also an ideal place to start your walk along the Oyster Way, where you can enjoy excellent home-cooked food whilst viewing an abundance of nautical memorabilia. The Cornish Belle and Queen of the Fal are also available for private hire in the evenings and on Sundays.
