A gentle walk on the Smuggler's Trail
A gentle 30mins walk with two short ferry journeys. In Mylor harbour you will find a harbourside restaurant and cafe where you can enjoy a light bite before returning to Falmouth.
From Falmouth's Prince of Wales Pier catch the twice hourly ferry to Flushing. When you arrive in Flushing take some time to make the most of the Quayside Restaurant or one of the local pubs before turning right and heading towards Mylor along the coastal path.
After you round Trefusis Point look out for the cave and steps cut into the stone foreshore. Both were used to transfer contraband goods ashore with the cave marking the entrance of an old tunnel that led up to the cellars of the estate house on the hill where the goods were stored. Once in Mylor enjoy a drink in Castaways or a coffee in the cafe before catching the Mylor shuttle back to Falmouth.
