A three hour walk from smuggler's Cottage to St Mawes taking in the beautiful scenery along the Fal and the last remaining Oyster Fishery in Europe, still to be dredged by sail and oar.
The historic Smuggler’s Cottage at Tolverne is served by many ferry services from Truro, Falmouth and St Mawes, and is a short distance from the King Harry Ferry.
From the Smuggler’s Cottage road head up alog country roads to Messack Farm when you will join the coastal footpath to St Mawes. The route takes you along the shores of the Fal, past the stunning St Just-in-Roseland church, and the last remaining oyster fishery in Europe, still dredged under sail and oar between October and March.
Upon arrival in St Mawes take your pick from the many waterfront restaurants and cafes before catching the regular St Mawes Ferry service back to Falmouth or the Enterprise service to Truro.
